More expensive in EU because the added customs charge? Should be the same in other region except the devaluated sterling pound.

No electric brompton this year for sure, because all the regulation requirement? .....

brompton management spend all day snooping on ebay and if you list a folding bike that is not a brompton, but list it as saying it folds like a brompton, they report you and have your listing removed

they are a bunch of cnuts

Bromp what?

Frankly I'd be more concerned if something happened to Taiwan.

If Oregon wanted to leave the Union and establish itself as the Evangelical Republic of Bike Friday, I would not shed a tear either.

we have lots of money in Greece which we inherited, and which we still cannot withdraw .... you are only allowed 420 euros a week and you have to be in the bank in person to withdraw it.....

its nearly a year now that they have capital control so I am totally anti euro

Funny you mention...not all of Oregon, but the part south of Eugene with part of Northern California have tried to become their own state in the past....

Yes their ill fated declaration of independence came on a poorly timed onthe infamous December 7, 1941. The country had bigger fish to fry.

I bought my Brompton three months ago. It would presumably be cheaper now.

I wonder if US dealers will start giving discounts?

Currently a Nickel Edition starts at $2095 + $104 shipped if for example I bought online from an NYC and had it shipped to Socal to avoid any taxes. On the other hand I can buy the same spec bike from a UK Store for 1310 british pounds + 79 british pounds (using the ebay shipping calculator for other used bromptons) which equals $1851 US dollars.

Am I doing the math right?

Stories in the financial times indicated EU leadership would take a harsh line with Britain as a warning to other member states. This could perhaps include punitive tariffs on British built goods (cycles) imported into the EU.
I would also speculate that Brompton would lose standing in EU courts for their copyright infringement claim.
The EU is Brompton's largest export market, and the company might be facing a Euro future of selling a more expensive product in competition with floods of Neo, MIT & etc bikes.
