White seat , cable housing and bar tape is always a class look - just source the type of bar tape that's easy to wipe down and keep clean -- ive used Lizard Skins on a couple of bikes and it fits the bill

So I got more info and emailed Marco Gios. I sent him pictures and the serial number. Turns out the bike's frame is from 1999. The guy I purchased it from said he bought in 2000. I'm assuming this bike is a model from 1999 and bought it in 2000.

Google the 'Brooklyn Chewing Gum' bicycle racing team! They used black saddles with white bar tape. Kelme Costa Blanca's Gios had black saddles and blue bar tape that had 'Gios' printed on it in white. I have a couple of rolls of that bar tape for when I build up the Compact Pro again! I was a BIG fan of Fernando Escartin! I even have two Kelme jerseys. They are cool!
