Retiree in Williamsburg, Virginia

Hi, I’m from Williamsburg, Virginia. Recently retired from local government after a 35 year stint, finally getting back to my roots in bicycling. Recently restored my college days 1973 Raleigh Gran Sport, and plan to ride the many great bike routes around Williamsburg, including the Colonial Parkway and Colonial Capital Trail. I had the privelege of knowing and riding with olympic speedskater Jeanne Omelenchuk as a teenager in Detroit growing up in the late ‘60s. Rode with her and husband George’s bike club in 1969. Great memories for sure!

Hi, happy retirement, I look forward to seeing that Raleigh, I have an 80's Raleigh frame, aerospace tubing, id forgotten about that until you reminded me. Any old pics of Detroit in the 60's? I'm in St Andrews, Scotland.

Welcome! That is a beautiful and fantastic area. Do they let you ride through Colonial Williamsburg?
