A very capable bike you have there but you simply must Take the reflector/light off from under the seat It screams Newb and It's most likely making you crash

Did you get fitted ?
I see a shorter stem and wider bars In your future grasshopper,, the seat looks too far forward,,for that over the bars feeling I bet

Then find a skills class,, there are very specific basic riding skills you may not have yet....

Do all of these things and then you will fall like the rest of us,,,
Fatser,
Harder,
with grace and more blood letting !~

Funny, I hadn't been on these forums in forever but started browsing around and wanted to comment on that bike but opted against it since it's a two year old post.

In any case, that's a great description; Bruce Waynes Bike but the better question is, which Bruce Wayne? Bale, Affleck or Keaton?

Rocklin Pro

Interested to see if anyone is familiar with this ride. When I first moved to Calgary I bought this Asuna Rockline Pro from a colleague at the time and have loved it ever since. Truth be told, I'm not much of a true mountain biker, more of a road/pathway guy but I would never dream of getting rid of this baby.

Last year, I bought a brand new 2014 Kona Jake that was swiftly stolen and recovered in the first 6 months I had her but during the time I was without my new ride, I thought it was a good time to give this one some overdue attention,

which included a new set of wheels,

and a new saddle.

I've been able to find very little information on this bike except that Asuna apparently used to be a parts distributor who for a brief time got into the business of assembling bikes but I have no idea if this is true or not. If anyone knows, I would love to hear more. In the meantime, I'm thinking of slowly making some upgrades and maybe even hitting some trails in the Rocky Mountains this summer.

I just picked this up this 2016 Fuel EX8 27.5 this past Thursday after work. I switched the saddle to a Bontrager Kovee, added Shimano clipless pedals and went tubeless. It's muddy now. :-)

Picked up a Top Fuel 8 last weekend. It's been personal bests left and right since.

I'll probably switch out the 2.2 Bonti XR1 tires with some 2.4 Ardents. Everything else can stay the way it is.

Nice bike, congrats!

..Not sure about that tire switch. I've never been a fan of the Ardent and would use an Ikon or Ardent Race instead. Or you could haggle at the LBS where you bought this and get an XR3 front / XR2 rear or dual XR3 combo. XR3 is pretty dang good.

Personally, my XC / hardpack trail setup is Maxxis but I use an Ardent Race 2.2 up front and Tread Lite 2.0 rear. Pretty skinny and you said 2.4 Ardent so I'm guessing you want more volume.

I do like the Ardents on my 26er for the trail conditions I ride. That said, I'm not married to any tire. I've also considered the Conti Trail Kings.

Yeah, it's got 2.2s now and the reading I've been doing (and looking at what people are running around here), it looks like wider seems to be the trend. Wider and less air = larger contact patch, but I think I can only go so wide with these rims.

I've since flipped the stem, I'm considering lower bars once I have more seat time. Thinking of upgrading to a carbon hardtail when the budget allows.

Just finished building this up from a bare frame. I have 1 ride on it and it was freaking awesome. I do need a longer seatpost before I do too many more rides.
