Lemond Poprad

I am driving to Chestertown Md tomorrow morning, Sunday, to take a look at this bike. This looks to be the best all around match, for what I have been looking for, that I have seen so far. I talked to the seller today and he is an avid cyclist, close to my age, and we had a really good conversation. I have been close to buying a couple of different bikes that were close, but not quite what I want. Surprisingly, I have been showing some patience, not a normal thing for me. Any knowledge, experience, thoughts or comments on the bike are much apprecitated.

I'm riding a Poprad today. If I had to thin my herd from (approximately) 10 bikes to one, this is the bike I would keep.

Outstanding do-it all bike.

I would however replace the canti brakes with mini-Vs, particularly the TRP 8.4 Vs. Best rim braking I've ever experienced, except possibly for Magura hydro rim brakes.

Dave, thanks for your reply and the info. Will definitely look into the TRP 8.4 V brakes. It is a good chance I will purchase this bike if it is what it appears to be. This will make 6 bikes and 1 bare frame/fork that I have. One bike is to take components for the bare F/F, a Fuji Ace that was given to me by a BF member. If I come home with the Lemond I will post some pictures. Thanks again for your input.
