Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Lezyne saddle bag question

Does anyone use a Lezyne M Caddy or S Caddy bag? For some reason I'm nervous about putting a nice multi tool under the bag with a rather weak looking piece of velcro to hold the tool in place. Anyone had problems with missing tools after a ride? Thanks.

I've had that bag for a few months. I've got 2 tubes, 2 tire levers, a few patches, and a mini-CO2 inflator in the main pocket. 2 CO2 cartirdges and a multitool in the velcro pocket. Haven't lost anything out of it yet. It's a tight fit but the total package is pretty small considering how much stuff I've got in there. That said, the multitool I use is pretty basic.

I have the Micro Caddy M.
I actually put a patch kit on the bottom and the multi tool inside. Fits 1 tube, 1 co2 inflater, 2 levers, tool, patch kit, ID / cash.
The bottom pocket is actually really secure since it has its own Velcro closure and the 2 Straps that go around the saddle rails Velcro over it again making sure it wont open.
Love it, no wobbles. Fits what i need and no seatpost strap to come loose and eat my bibs

I have the Caddy L, it holds my multi tool, cash, phone and cash in the lower zippered pocket, while the main compartment holds my tubes and other junk.
Noto so big to be a TOO much, but holds everything I need for short training rides.

I have it and totally understand your concern.......and will think you are a fool until.......I lose mine.

It does seem flimsy but I've not lost my multi and I strongly suggest you get it. I should tell you that it does seems to acquire tears in the fabric but I'm pretty sure that is SOL for any bag due to the constant jostling the undergo.

I think Lezyne is really classy stuff.

L Caddy model is a better choice. Bottom compartment is zippered so nothing is lost.

I lost my saddle bag on a ride last weekend. From now on I'll only use ones with dual velcro straps, one of these could definitely be a contender...

I have an L Caddy on one of my bikes and love it. I would get a second one for the other bike, but it doesn't fit well on that seat for some reason. I carry a tube, patch kit, tire levers, multi-tool, Wet-Wipes (in case I need to clean up) and some spare cash in the top, I leave the bottom open for my cell phone. Works great!
