Thanks... there's a few of those color-coordinators floating on the web, usually from dealer sites with "Build Your Own Brompton" options.

I'm pretty close to choosing a Orange-Extremities, White-Main Body one myself. I'm still a little hesitant about picking white though, as in the long term any scratches will be pretty obvious.

Ironically I have an orange/white MTB which I've done a bit of trail riding on, and it still looks pretty damn good. Main reason why I chose this color for the Bromptons.

I took a dart and threw it at a lineup of Bromptons and the one it hit is the one the guy at the bike shop "suggested" I buy...

I chose black, because I thought it looks cool and a little on the rebel side. Also no fenders and 'S' handlebars for the same reason. But now I'm thinking I should have got raw instead, because it also looks cool, and on the black, dust shows up very easily.

2nd/3rd hand bikes 1st one black *, 2nd one green ..

of course you have 4 painted parts.. you can have each be a different color ..

*Mk2 era it was either all black , or red for the center, main section, black for the rest.

Keyven, what color is your countries flag? you can use that .

orange white and blue NL, black yellow and red, Belgium.. Germany shuffles the order.

Red.white and blue covers France and a lot of others .

Quite a lot of people seem to prefer the old gloss finish over the matt as the reflections conceal dirt and scratches... personally I think orange works best in matt... it has a neon, futuristic vibe whereas some of the other colours look rather lifeless. I'd probably go raw if I were buying... but again, gloss is preferable and no-longer available.

Apparently using t-cut polishes up the matt into a nice shiny finish so I have been told off a fella with an orange one in the UK, he did not like the matt and tried the t-cut!its a paint cutting compound in case you lot in the U.S were wondering!

I chose blue, mainly because the store had only one Brompton in stock, and it was blue.

I agree. That is an awesome color combination that can only be improved upon by subduing both colors a little... to something more like black.

I was in a B'ton shop Puerto Rico when I decided to buy my 1st B.
They had a S6L in stock and gave me a good deal. It was the raw
lacquer finish and I really liked that color. After awhile, I realized that
I wanted a Ti model w/ reduced gearing. Sold the 1st B and went
shopping at BFold in NYC. They didn't have one in my specifications.
So they were going to order one for me and asked what color I would
like. In the catalog, the British Green looked nice so I asked for that color.
But in person, the shade isn't as dark as I thought it would be -like
the Jaguar cars. But it performs like a B'ton should and I could live with
the color. If I ever have to get another one though; I might get the raw
finish - again.

Clear Laquer. I like that it makes the Brompton look like a "machine". The wife has a 'Turkish Blue" Brompton that looks great. Too pretty for me though.

I wanted British Racing Green, but when I wanted to order two years ago, Brompton was really behind in shipments from the UK according to the dealers I spoke to. So, being in Canada, I phoned up every Brompton dealer in the country to see what stock they had on hand. I wanted an M6R, so I was wiling to forego my preferred colour so long as I could get the bike in a reasonable amount of time. The one dealer who had the configuration I wanted (Brooks saddle, reduced gearing, in stock) had sage green, which I was initially a bit unsure about. However, the sales person said he preferred the lighter colours on the Bromtpon: in his experience, the darker coloured Bromptons did not age well with time and just looked... not as spectacular as they should. Well, what do I know, but I'm quite happy with mine, and many others like the colour too. I guess I wouldn't mind the raw lacquer as well, but given that I didn't want to spend another $800 Cdn...

Man, that's the same idea I had, but with orange. White Main Body/Orange Extremities. I'm more confident than ever that is the right decision.

That a wide range of colors is offered is nice - it seems everyone has a different preference. I am the opposite of many here and preferred the softer colors. Also, since most of the time that I ride my brompton my wife is on hers, I wanted two colors that would look good together. She liked the sage green with black extremities and I took my chances ordering a color that I had not seen and wasn't totally in love with based on photos. I went with the desert tan with black extremities. As it turned out we are really pleased with our choices.

Some color combos I have seen leave me scratching my head, but the owners seem very happy with them. The raw lacquer if very cool and is what I probably would have gone with if we were not both getting a bike, but nonetheless, I am delighted with the desert tan and black.

My wife likes the full orange, but the white main frame with orange extremities as you put it will look awesome. I love my red and white and get a lot of nice compliments regarding the color. I hope you get what you are looking for.

Thank you. I'm looking at Clever Cycles in Portland, but they'll have to order from UK to have it delivered to them before it can be delivered to Singapore. Is it just me, or is that nuts?

..have to get it from some retail shop, as thats the way the bike biz works.

Clever is a good shop.. bought an O bag from them at Xmas sale discount.
and various bits and pieces over time..

It is a bit nuts if from what you are saying, you are in Singapore. If you are, then why are you ordering from a cycle shop in Portland? I'm sure there are lots of good shops where you are. All that shipping back and forth will take quite a bit of time unless someone is willing to pay quite a bit for shipping. I'm not sure, but can one not order a bike directly from Brompton?

Now Brompton has their own Boutique retail shops , but no , Manufacturers rarely sell customer direct.

though they have done a warrantee replacement parts direct , to bike owners .

Got the white one because it was in stock and looked better than the other colors at the time I ordered. Then, after my wife took the pretty white one from me, I ordered the black one because... let's face it, everyone has an evil twin. It's best to keep them together.
