I'm glad to see they did not get rid of the podium girls.

And to insult them by calling them "ornaments" is sexist. They do what they do because they want to do it. I thought they were supposed to be empowered? They aren't wearing thong bikinis, they aren't wearing daisy dukes. They aren't covered in tattoos. They dress classier than 99% of American females today. But of course most Europeans do, from my experience there.

They're professional models. I'm guessing they appreciate the exposure an event such as TDF brings along with the addition to their portfolios.

I read George Hincppie's autobiography which was quite interesting. I also found it interesting that he was wise enough to marry a French podium girl. They live in S. Carolina now.

Where I work, we have many tv's on the wall. They are typically set to the Weather Channel so that we can anticipate what sort of weather our drivers could encounter (I'm a distribution planner).
But with the FIFA World Cup going on, the boss had all the tv's set to TeleMundo.
Um, some of you should check out TeleMundo and see how other cultures view women.

"Other cultures"?

Isn't TeleMundo a U.S. TV company with its headquarters in Miami? Part of U.S. culture, TeleMoney.
