POLL: COLNAGO C59 -or- PINARELLO DOGMA 2
While appreciating the attributes of both these superb race frames, as well as the significant historical and race pedigree of each company attached to them. Which new frame set would be your choice over the other and why..

Colnago way ahead of the Pina. Classic look that never goes out of style, better paint schemes, more understated which to me pops out more over the loud design of the Dogma

There should be a check box for "I hate you" Kidding aside, if you haven't ridden them both, do that. If you have and that doesn't clinch it, pick the one you think is cuter. Personally I prefer the looks of the Colnago.

Both are nice. I'm a fan of Pinarello, and would love to throw a leg over a Dogma, but if I had a choice between the two I'd go Colnago.

Thanks guys for the response, this is an interesting topic being that these two models are so popular. I voted Colnago C59, to me it's a better pick of the two in most categories for my preferences. Keep the votes coming!!

That Colnago is definitely old school looking, but I'm not a huge fan of the Pino's Salvadore Dali wavey lines. I give the Pino the thumbs up in this contest just for the flat black paint.

I would be much more interested to hear about the stiffness, weight, and handling differences between the two bikes, if anybody knows.
I read a few articles about the C59 that were like "this is as good as it gets" which is probably true at that level.

shedding fat
Both are extremely nice bikes, and you are to likely get equally good characteristics out of both. Personally, I would get the colnago, but that is simply a personal choice and not a reflection of how good or bad either one is.

Colnago C59 : 980g Size 54 [Painted Frame]
Pinarello D2 : 920g Size 54 [Raw Frame]
I can only speak from my own experience, having ridden both I could not distinguish a stiffness differential between the two. I did notice the Pinarello required a bit more steering precision in a fast turn, it’s a steady frame and fork that likes to be pushed but finessed. To me the C59 absorbed road vibration a bit easier than the Dogma 2 which felt slightly more rigid over the stay. To me the C59 held a fast line better with less effort in comparison. I felt more comfortable at speed on the C59. Both bikes belong to a colleague of mine and are setup with Campy SR and Mavic CCU's. He also prefers the C59 to ride but loves the look more of the Pinarello.
