Add on motor for Brompton on Kickstarter
Kickstarter has a campaign for an after market motor that can fit a Brompton

This is from the same guy that invented the Bromfoot (I am using one).

Sweet, great idea. I hope they find great success. I'm sure it'll be wonderful for many people. Although not for me, I like physical activity to stay healthy.

Went to kickstarter... definitely sounds like something I want to support.

Same here, but there might be times when it's useful. Not sure I would want to carry that extra weight though it's nice to have the option.

reminds me of VeloSolex powered bikes .. a friction drum turns the front tire ..
not sure how the front bag mounting block will hold up with that stress,
maybe the guy can get a metal block substitute made too, to replace the plastic Brompton one.

true .. though a heat treated tempered steel bolt can be found..
I got some marked 8.8 when I fitted the rear rack on my loaded touring bike ..
were still 5x.8mm , with an 8mm hex head (dont know if someone makes allen cap-screws in that alloy.
Brompton's own front wheel motor project seems back-burnered ,
perhaps they cannot find a ROC/PRC supplier that offers the reliable QC of their production
at a price the company wants to pay .
