XC sucks, it's the first thing you're pushed into whenever you join a track team (and don't have obvious blazing speed). I'll never forget hearing news of the JFK assassination while in the locker room following XC practice. One of those "where were you" moments. Fortunately I had enough speed to graduate to doing more enjoyable 200 and 400 yard events.
And just to qualify, we are talking Div III, here.
P.S., Holy crap, you're old! College XC? I was in elementary school and all I remember is all the talk on the subway ride home and the day off the next day to watch the obsequies on TV.

I was all type-1 fiber and never had any speed at all, just willingness to suffer. XC is also the ultimate collegiate varsity nerd sport. Half the football offense came out for track and ruined it for us 3-milers.
And just to qualify, we are talking Div III, here.

That I can see, the only post-ride analysis is a star system, telling you how many of the interval sessions you successfully completed; my last ride was 7/8 stars, probably because I (intentionally) went over target on one of my intervals. Other than that, they just let you download a .fit file, presumably to upload it to something more comprehensive, maybe like Golden Cheetah?
With TR, they had interval-by-interval breakdown - target number, results, how much your power drifted during the interval, etc. Power curve stuff, both absolute and weighted, along with PRs and when they were set. Training Stress. I take it that they've added more of that kind of fun stuff since, but again, it doesn't have than much value to me.

Zwift intervals don't quite give me the post-ride analysis figures that TrainerRoad did (and now TR has gone much deeper, from what I gather, but I'd not be making much use of that, anyway), but that's really a secondary concern. The main thing is having decent workouts available and the metrics on-screen (I'm a simple man). In that regard, Zwift is good enough. The graphics/courses are occasionally a nice distraction, but it's really neither here nor there most of the time. Maybe I'll join a virtual group ride sometime, but if that never happens it's a-okay, too.

Ahh, you're looking for dynamic feedback. I don't know of anything like that in Zwift.

There are various third-party apps that work with Zwift, some of them work concurrently during the ride to do different things, I'd be surprised if there wasn't something that does what you're talking about.
I usually go to Zwift Insider first when I'm looking for technical info.

I always used to say that the way to really get back at someone while appearing innocent would be to give their child an Easter basket with a Lego kit in it. Chances are the adult will step on a stray Lego at some point and pay the price and Easter grass is impossible to entirely get rid of. You could top even this plan by putting glitter in the card.
