Some info
I plan to get a Bafang Middrive conversion kit. Then I am getting one of the smallest gear wheels for the motor to max out the torque. I plan to be towing some weight behind the bike, around 400-600 lbs. This would be on all sorts of terrain, with a single narrow wheel. What kinda of situation would I be looking at in this situation for startign, climbing, downhill, and stopping?

Procure a BBSHD which has a 30 amp controller and can support 52V, so about two HP (lots of argument about efficiency etc, blah, blah). There is a 30 tooth chainring available. Should be able to climb a tree with that combo.

BBSHD, I have heard that in conjunction with BeFang but I focused on the fang because my memory would hold it easier. What is the difference between the two?

Bafang BBS02 is "rated" @ 750w, and BBSHD 1000w. The BBSHD is supposedly about two pounds heavier (I only have BBS02's) and has more copper to provide more power and dissipate heat more effectively.
