Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wife got mine for christmas, put 'believe in yourself' on it. Now that I have been riding for a little while I would have put "Shut Up Legs" on it.

"Go the distance"
Christmas gift from my 18 y.o. daughter 4 years ago...received it a month after Christmas due to her suffering a brain hemorrhage on Dec. 19th (Christmas spent in ICU). During difficult periods of my rides I just take a look at my roadID and think about all the pain and suffering she's endured since that day...it gives me strength.

I've had mine for a while now with "Did my bike make it?!" If I had to replace it today, it would definitely be "Shut up legs!"

No motto since I can't read the thing without reading glasses and I don't wear those when I ride.

Mine reads "Lord watch over me" - just a reminder to say a little prayer and thank him for everyday I'm able to ride.

Mine says 'Allergic Amoxicillin". Not quite as motivational as "Shut up Legs", but I don't look at it anyways.

"Stop reading this and please try to stop the bleeding. Really. Do it now. Just stop. Put my arm down and put some presuure on the spurting blood. No seriously, I mean it. This is important. You need to stop the bleeding or I might die. There is nothing more to say here. I'm getting woozy, please apply some pressure to the open wound. Now, you moron. I'm starting to get angry with you. If you're not going to help get out of the way. Can you please put a stick in my mouth? Yes, those shoes do make me go faster...."

"I Run I Ride I Am". Before I got on a bike I had "I Run I Am:I Am I Run". Have run over 71,000 miles--only have biked about 2,300 (since early May, 2010).
