IMO it's better to take your bike on the train to Santa Barbara and then ride south: you're riding on the more scenic (and IMO safer) ocean side of the road, and you're more likely to have a tailwind.

Oh, don't worry about that. Now that she's been convicted of the crime, there will be a wrongful death civil suit to follow. Of course, the family will never actually get all the money awarded to them, but it will sure put a dent in the offenders' lifestyle.

As with so many times criminal courts do not hand out justice at all. The family needs to sue in civil court to get justice.

Oh and the DA needs to be fired for asking for such a ignorant trivial sentence.
