Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

One mechanical horsepower of 550 foot-pounds per second is equivalent to 745.7 watts.
So I'm gonna have to say it could vanquish poseurs.

I think he meant one of the tuned vettes coming out of shops like Henessey and the like. I think a few of those are faster than a Veryon, and yes they do put down north of 1000hp. But now you've comparing modded vs unmodded cars which is a huge bag of worms...

Would that count as a "production" car? I only mentioned the Veyron to illustrate a point. It's not like the hideous wheels pinarello foists on rubes are truely the lightest wheels you can buy, either. More like the lightest you can get from Lightweight. Just as the Veyron is the Most Fast car Volkswa ..err.. Bugatti makes

I almost bought a 2009 FP3 but I couldnt get over the fact that the frame and fork wavy design might end up being a fad and be hated later on. Kinda like Gremlins, pintos and pacer.

If money were no object the Dogma, Prince or anything from the current line wouldn't be my Most (pun intended(yes, lame)) used bike, but it would definitely be part of the stable.

...maybe I'd rather just buy the frame and not buy the stock parts...as good as they are, I have different aspirations for a dream bike.

The new one is so ugly. That one is the bike.

I discussed with my wife what it would be like if you had an exact clone, and if you could beat that clone in a race. Something tells me Old Pinarello me would beat New Pinarello me because of pride and shame respectively.

Still, I wish I had the new one for "tool not jewel" purposes.

That SSC Aero is what I was thinking of, which from memory has a Corvette/Chevy motor in it.

Bike Porn Incarnate.

Every time that picture appears on Bike Forums, it should be accompanied by this song, starting at the 3:00 mark.

Posting that bike in the "Hot or Not?" thread would be like bringing an atomic bomb to a knife fight - although I will admit that there are a few bikes that could give it a run for its money.

Hats off to 55/Rad for a beautiful build!

If I recall the SSC has its own motor and the Mosler is based on the Corvette

From wiki:
built using a supercharged engine sourced from the Corvette C5R mated to a G-64 6-speed manual transmission

The squiggly forks etc are not nearly as annoying as the MOST LIGHTWEIGHT logos (even if the wheels float)
