Velocity makes a "Clydesdale" wheelset which has 40 spokes on the rear and 36 on the front. They are as reliable as any I've seen. https://www.velocityusa.com/product/...ake-clydesdale

Quite frankly, I would not bother changing spokes. A lot of good bikes and expensive bikes come with straight gauge spokes.

If you really want to do that, the rear is more important, as that is where you have more weight on the wheel and you also have a dished wheel. (I assume you know what I mean by dished, if not, please speak up.) I think it is quite unnecessary for the front wheel. Spoke breakage is quite rare, but front spoke breakage is extremely rare.
