Bottom Bracket cup sway?
I have a FSA carbon crank that uses the wavy washer. This is from 2013 Wiler with threaded BB. I removed the FSA bottom bracket but the right-hand drive side cup froze. The non drive side spins ( bearings) perfect. Well I happen to have a right side cup from a Shimano BB60 BB spare. I put the right side Shimano cup on and the crank went through and spins great. I was surprised by this as I think a bit of tolerance issues between FSA and Shimano thread BSA BB.
I did have to add a 1.8mm space on the drive side of bottome bracket to get the wavy washier to compress correct without too much gap or play. The best solution is a whole new SHimano crank but I want to use this crank and save money. Does this sound like anything anyone has done or would be fine?

My recollection is that FSA MegaExo BBs were a bit narrower than Hollowtech II and their ilk. But if a shim is what you need to get the wavy washer to compress properly, then by all means use it.
