Low profile suspension seatpost
My wife and I have a Litespeed tandem. She would like a suspension seatpost but there is not enough room for one. It's only 2 1/4" or 57mm from the seatpost clamp to the top of the rails on her seat. The Cane Creek Thudbuster requires 4" and most of the other suspension seatposts don't even specify this dimension. I told her we could put her in the height stretcher like Barney Fife, but she did not agree!
Does anyone know of a low profile suspension seatpost? 27.2mm THANKS

Cane Creek makes a second type of suspension seatpost which is smaller. https://canecreek.com/product/eesilk-plus/

If seapost height is critical because of a large frame, you may want to consider another saddle instead.
Comfort saddles have come a long way because of baby boomer uprighters and from all the ones I have tried, they work just as well a seatpost.
Unless you combine comfort saddle AND spring seatpost That's going for the Cadillac.

.
I replaced my wife's saddle with a Zeta Ultima and never heard another word of complaint.
With a 30day risk free, it might be worth a look.

Consider shorter crank arms in addition to the suspension seatpost.
(stay with me here)
If she is short or shorter inseam, she might require a shorter crankarm set, maybe 160mm, which would require a seat height increase making more room for a suspension seat post.
If the shorter crank arms ARE necessary, it might remove the need for a suspension post due the reduction of pelvic deflection needed for a too long crank arm with too short an inseam.

It may not work w/o at least swapping in a thinner profile saddle, but I have this Ultimate Vybe that is considerably more compact and lighter than the Cane Creek.

Not a lot of room to work with here.

Tranzx makes one that is quite compact. I use it on my touring bike.
