And that's exactly what it was this past weekend. We decided to cut our Saturday ride short and go for ice cream ... and on Sunday we opted for a flat route out to the next town ... to the swimming pool there.

Keep your head and your feet warm and you have it 90% under control. Any temps below 25ºF or so I have ear warmers under a head sock. Any temps under 40ºF I usually use the chemical toe warmers too. I also discovered my feet stay warmer with two layers of socks, I wear a thin dress sock under my heavier main sock.

I don't enjoy near-freezing rain. If it's 35 degrees and I am soaked to the skin, that blows. Other than that, I enjoy it all. Tomorrow it should be less then 10F when I go out. It's just a different challenge.
Can't wait!

I don't enjoy riding below 60. I'll ride in the 40's if the schedule requires a long ride or a group ride.
Otherwise, I'll ride the trainer for one day and wait for it to be in the 60's tomorow

33 miles at 33F degrees. Rode with a buddy who's faster than me so it made for some fun. Unless it's raining or there's a chance of frostbite, I'm riding outside.

I don't ride if it's below 50º... Of course the average temp here in December-Februrary is 51º, so I don't miss very many days due to the cold.

I cycled a century at -32C ... and developed bronchitis. But it wasn't permanent lung damage.

I would give almost anything for it to be in the 50s. That might as well be summer. Wouldn't even need to bundle up.

I love heat -- 100+ is great and it makes my muscles feel fabulous. Gotta drink water like crazy and watch out for heat exhaustion though. On the cold side, I'll ride in single digits but the minimum temp I'll actually think it's a great day to ride is low 40's. I haven't encountered and upper limit, but I haven't been out over 108 yet.
