Could be my paranoia, but things look fishy about that auction. Seller has only six transactions, all over 30 days old. But, he has only been an Ebay member since August 24. All six transactions are as a buyer, none as a seller.

And, he states that he has 5 bikes for sale, but only has info for 3 of them.

Proceed with caution.

Is it a repaint by Waterford? If that's the case, then it IS a factory original Paramount, and I would have NO complaints about buying it.

EBay and paypal are more pro buyer then ever I think so I wouldn't be too leary. Some people don't sell much and from how he's listing it I think he's pretty wet behind the ears. I found It by luck and thought it was a decent deal

Looked like a good sale, anyone make it there? I see extra wheels in one photo. That would be a good bundle buy.

Looks okay. I don't know if I'd shell out 300 either the way it sits. But don't worry because the seller can "scare up" some wheels and a saddle, you can only the imagine the quality of those.

Butte is a craphole, I hate it. I like Anaconda and P-burg though. I can't wait to get a job in a better valley. I have looked at Bozone and the Zoo. Missoula is a little more reasonably priced even when compared to Kalispell in certain areas, and their jobs pay a lot better than the rest of Montana.

I get in a lot of arguments about Butte because I think the culture around here is on that is based on alcoholism, drug use, fighting, and general disdain for authority. But then again I work in law enforcement and have to deal with only the scumbags.

Vintage 1986 Club Fuji Bicycle | eBay

This is a vintage 1986 Club Fuji Bicycle that has had the easiest life sitting around the garage for 30 years. I can safely say it doesn't even have 100 miles on it, so must sell since I don't use it. All parts are original with new chain and tires. The bike is in excellent condition but has a few scratches, chips, and nicks and would look great after a thorough cleaning. 1986 catalog picture on internet (classicfuji.com/ClubFuji_1986_Page.htm) I am the original owner. It is a 55cm bike.

1973 Schwinn Paramount Campagnolo Reynolds 531 Nervex Frame Set Nice See | eBay

The seller is Oldsteelmachine in California.

Schwinn was building frames in Chicago in 1973. It could have been built in Chicago and repainted at Waterford recently. The decals are from the eighties and not identical to the 1973 vintage. A repaint at Waterford is acceptable to most Paramount fans.

I wonder what the bike was doing all these years.

IMO, it's worth about the cost of a Waterford paint job, but not much more without a complete history and reliable pictures from prior to the repaint.

Serotta CSi steel road bike. 61 cm mint cond
[h=2]Serotta CSi steel road bike. 61 cm mint cond - $1600 (Harwich)[/h]

© craigslist - Map data © OpenStreetMap

(google map) (yahoo map)

Serotta CSi steel road bike. 61 cm. Legendary; the best road bike I've ever been on and I was a pro racing bike mechanic for years. Serotta F1 fork, Shimano 9 speed group. Mavic rims, DT spokes, strong bulletproof yet comfortable fast wheels. Vittoria tires (clinchers). Ti seatpost I forget the brand but the nicest ti posts I've seen. TTT bars, profile stem .

Serotta is no more sadly; the company is gone. so these legendary CSi frames are rare. I have ridden Ti, carbon, aluminum, scandium, and many many top end steel bikes. Nothing compares to the feel of this CSi. Comfortable, fast and responsive, loves hills. This bike has a spirit that's rare in road bicycles. I sadly just don't get out riding on the road anymore, so this one is up for sale.

One tiny scratch on the top tube, several tiny specks or nicks in the paint. Cranks are a tiny bit scratched at the ends but are in VG shape. Wheels are excellent.

1600. obo

I live on Cape Cod and travel to plymouth 2 days a week.

Last photo is from the Serotta catalog, but shows the beautiful color of this bike.

Saw that but the frame is not up to the parts and cost is too high for the group.

There are two Pinarello brands. The one you know is the Italian TdF winning brand: Delgado, Indurain, Riis, Periero, Ullrich, Wiggins, Froome.
The one you do not know is the 1970s German gaspipe brand. This is the latter and not worth $250 ... more like $150 and that's in a hot market like NYC.

How can you tell?
First, the logo is telltale.
Stamped rear dropouts with a claw are indicative of lower-end.
The seat cluster is rough.
The 3-pin crank is steel and cottered.
