I actually have plans to use the wireless unit and since I don't use PCs it is useful for me. That bar end piece is going to be excellent. I cannot wait to clean up my stem. I always wanted a better solution and sadly it came out a little too late to go on the initial build on the Chilkoot but I can live with that.

I will hopefully snap some pics. I am notoriously bad at getting pictures of stuff.

Thanks @johnnytheboy, now I want to replace my brake nuts with gold ones. Digging the Compass tires so far?

If you have a use for the wireless, such as Garmin shift indication, then it is great.

Keep in mind that you might need a PC the first time to update firmware. I'm not 100% sure. I would not update firmware over wireless, but that's me.

Might need to borrow a PC. Souldn't be a problem.

We have a PC in the shop for updates. I generally update regularly anyway so this could help with that.

x2

To be fair I didn't buy this stuff it was bought as a gift but as the knowledgeable cyclist I picked it out
I am finally putting a dynamo set up on my touring bike (which I should have done in the first place) and also picking up a cheaper set for my hybrid because I had a spare dynamo hub laying about that will go on the hybrid and will be trying to pick up a SON hub for the touring bike along with a Sinewave reactor or Supernova The Plug III.

The Hans Dampfs are for the upcoming MTB build and they were on sale at one of the German bike stores along with the lights. Soon I will have 3 of 6 bikes set up with Dynamo. Though the Cilo will for sure never be set up with a dynamo and I doubt I will put one on the Langster (which was actually the bike that got me thinking about Dynamos since I commuted on it so frequently) and the road bike was going to be dynamo powered but I changed my mind on it because I really don't need to charge it that often anyway and wouldn't get the super clean look I want without a custom built bike and I don't have that kind of money.

Should be some fun winter projects going on, two dynamo set ups and a mountain bike build.

What are you converting the stem to? I would suggest a cool lasor gun that goes "pew pew" so you can be all Star Traks and save the world from evil.

Just something so I can use threadless stems on an elderly Trek 400. . . . .

I would have gone with the lazors! But using a threadless stem is nice especially for 31.8 bars because the options for quill stems for that aren't that exciting.

I do have them on my Raleigh Olympian, my Trek 1220 ZX "superleggera" project, and my Trek 420 three-speed fixie. That way I don't have to re-wrap the bars if I decide to change stem lengths. .

It does help quite a bit. It is surprising they didn't do more removable faceplates back in the day. You would think someone would have designed a better quill stem maybe?

Getting the Klein back into fighting shape...though apparently I might want new wheels because while the old ones are nice the Nukeproof Ti hubs aren't known for durability!

(though the 5 piece not the 4 piece )

(hoping RST will have a steerer tube of the right length and yes I know it is RST but the specs on it are decent enough and it was cheap enough and I don't want to spend a ton on the Klein so this made more sense than spending for a nice steel or Wound Up carbon fork)

I had to buy a stand for my first bike without a kick stand.

Some of those lights you guys have are pretty cool.

Do they have the Gators in useful sizes like 28 or 32? That isn't a horrible price but a lot of tire sales tend to favor the ancient 23 size.

Purchased from Ribble Cycles. The strange thing is that I went back to the site to check the price of the 28's and 32's for you, and despite having multiple size options on the rigid twin pack that I just ordered, it is now no longer available. Maybe I snagged the last of them and it just so happened to be the 25's I needed?

Anyway, they do have 28's and 32's in the twin pack in folding bead for around $50. Not a huge savings, but still better that the $30/each that most places charge
