it doesn't even look half as good as MASH, imo. I don't want to bang on these dudes or anything, cause I'm sure they rip and are totally decent dudes, but comparing an amateurish video like this to MASH or Macaframa is ******** - the cameras they use aren't up to the same standards, and the editing was sort of half-ass. plus, biking around in SF inherently looks cooler on film than biking around in the burbs, I think.

as for tricks, I'm not going to get into that one, cause that's sort of a personal thing (I think fixed gear as a whole has a long way to go in this department, but I'd rather not get into it for fear of offending people).

That being said, I'm stoked to see Council of Doom, being that there are so few fixed gear vids, and it's always good to see what's going on. And if it's really sick, I'll be surprised and delighted. I just hope it's not akin to Osiris' "The Storm".

You're definitely not, regardless of haters it can't be denied that mash set a standard for all other track bike videos.

i guess i just dont get it...there are only so many tricks you can do with a track bike and ive got all the music i want at my fingertips and if i want something cool to look at ill watch koyaanisqatsi or something...these videos just get stale and derivative after a while no? maybe im wrong? maybe i just dont see the appeal of watching people do the same stuff over and over and over...?

Lucas Brunelle was it. Fast, in your face traffic moves, and he did it all over the country.

Tricks; well, it's talent, but a wheelie bar spin doesn't get me through traffic fast. A one foot over the bar skid doesn't avoid a right hook by some errant driver. Some stuff is useful, and a lot of it is grace of motion.

But I say Lucas speaks to those of us who sail through steel and asphault as a part of daily life. Not to take away from a hobby, nor fun, but for a method of transportion, nothing speaks to it like Lucas.

I have to agree with metaljim....the only bike videos I like to watch are the monster track videos and videos of people biting it while biking. Both are amusing when I'm wasting time on the internet. I just can't get into watching all the baby bmx tricks kids do on their tarkck bikes. If I wanted to do sick tricks all day, I'd skateboard or bmx.
