Random NorCal question
I saw a rather flashy orange-kitted cyclist this weekend while riding, and it made me remember the "pink lady" who I always used to see riding about the East Bay. Haven't seen her in a very long time, anyone know if she moved or something? It's just one of those random things that was triggered in my mind, and I'm just curious, since she seemed to be a friendly cyclist who was always out on the road.

Yeah been a year or two. I used to see her on Diablo all the time.

I saw her a few months ago - not sure exactly when but certainly less than a year ago. Can't remember where. Same pink bags, same steady pace.
I saw her more often when I lived in the Orinda/Moraga area, not so much when I moved to Berkeley 9 or so years ago.

I saw her climbing up Diablo on New Years Day. I kinda got a little giddy, like seeing a rock star.

Totally random response, but as I was scrolling through journals on crazyguy, I found her. Reading through her blog entries, it sounds like she's lost some of her biking mojo over the last few years and was also temporarily incapacitated by a pelvic fracture:

In addition to seeing her on New Years (photo in post #4), we also crossed paths this last Sunday on the Iron Horse Trail path in Dublin. We were headed north while she was coming south. One of the few times I've seen her in a flat area.
