Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hi
Anyone buy from Ribble using paypal? Not working for me,but it my be might be my PP account,as I had A fraudulent charge from China for $50 last month. But PP gave me a refund.

I know I said I would never buy from them again. They did send me everything I ordered, just took like over 3 months for some items.

Just got my new sram group delivered today, paid with paypal without problems. There are on the slower side of shipping though:
Bought on 11/03; Shipped on 11/09; Delivered this morning.
But the "slow" delivery times beats paying twice as much anywhere else in US.

A pleasant surprise, all the SRAM components were on retail boxes, not OEM.. "plastic bagged".

So I bought.

Took about 2 weeks to reach Oregon.Very happy.Might be awhile before I use them,as my campy is not on any of my bikes right now.

Yes it was my paypal account blocking the transaction. As someone on Ebay charged me $50 for nothing.Paypal
was very good and fast in getting my money back. But they must be monitoring my transactions now.
Worked out for the better. As I did not really need another race/fast road bike and found some deals on A endurance, gravel and adventure bike that I rather own at my age and get me off the road.
Was not sure what I was thinking about ordering A bike from Ribble. As they are the only UK shop I have had problems with in the past.

Thanks

Planet X delivery issues ?

Was posted in another bike forum with lots of bikers from the UK.Road.CC
Seems Planet X did some staff changes and a reorg a couple of months ago.
Seems shipping time and CS has gone down hill from what was posted.
Even with the holidays should not take 3+ weeks for A few tires and tubes.
Hope it is only growing pain, and they get better.

I've checked my account which states my tires have been despatched, but the tracking number field has been left blank.Going on 3 weeks for me.

Well I've had a shipment of wheels being "held in customs" since 18 Dec that I ordered from PBK. I've hit them up twice in the past week or so to get some resolution with nothing more than a "we elevated the issue" response. Second time I've had a problem with a shipment from them. They are painfully slow in my experience when i compare my happy purchases with some of the others. Merlin has been awesome.
