There's a green 70's Schwinn Super Sport outside of an antique shop in Galena MD. It looks pretty clean with a little rust on the headlight chrome. Tag said $175. There's a couple other bikes of a similar vintage and condition, but I didnt have time to realy look.

If you are looking at this I'm guessing you know about Panasonic vintage Japanese racers and that the DX-5000 was one of their high end models and very collectible..
You certainly do not see many for sale these days...

Overall good condition for being 32 years old.. Shimano quality components..
Should be in the hands of a collector, enthusiast and being used...
1987, Frame is 23" and it's a 12 speed..

PLEASE SEND YOUR NAME & NUMBER IF YOU MESSAGE..
OTHERWISE I WILL SIMPLY CONSIDER IT SPAM....

PRICE IS $500 CASH OR BEST OFFER...

Is this Fuji worth the price? I've been looking for a Fuji and this one just turned up, close enough that I could go get it.

How do you put the image from craigslist into the post?

Vintage Fuji Supreme Road Bike 12 Speed - $90 (salem, nh)

Tires are low use, but not new. Not bad for $90, but it is in need of some work. Click on text and scroll to copy or download image and upload to thread. You probable couldn't even get into a Gladys Knight show for that...

To answer your question, it's probably worth the price, less if it needs consumables. The stem mount shifters is usually an indicator of a recreational frame where weight wasn't a strong consideration. Even lower tier fujis used butted 1020 steel, so it's still lighter than an equivalent schwinn.

After looking at the ad pics closer, it's obviously in good shape. Worth a look!

That was my thought. It looks nicer than the other ones I can find.

I think this is identical to the bike I had in high school, the one that got me into cycling. I kept it for 12 years, until moving to the West Coast. I could see that the tires need to be replaced--the sidewalls are pretty terrible. It caught my attention because it isn't rusty or falling apart, even though it's not particularly special.

Damn I love those lilac ones. Wish this was closer. Price is definitely right, guess that's why it sold so fast.

They're so close!
DS picture, check!
Seat level, check!
Cranks at 2 or 7, check!
Chain on big ring, fail.
Valves at 6, fail.
Still a pretty bike, with crazy long housing.

I dunno man, my PGN-10 came with similar, stock. We see the seat set screw which puts this at 1984. Look at how long the cables are on the PSV10N in the '84 catalog:

Fair price though. I'd try to talk them down to 260 and ride it like I stole it.

As a Prologue owner (25" frame size, same color combo = the best of the two available, IMO), somebody PLEASE save this thing!

EDIT: Wow. Same year as mine as well: 1987 (via the SN).
