Question Xootr Swift-e (Electrified) - 8 Speed,...I personally wouldn't recommend it.

Just in case you didn't know, Xootr now makes an OFFICIAL ebike. It can take a 220lb person 15 miles no pedaling, or 25 miles with pedal assist. The MAJOR drawback is it's top speed - 12mph. I just wish they'd put braze ons on the top tube, so a battery can be mounted there. This way you can have a wider choice of options when it comes to electrifying this little sucka!!!

Oh, there is one other small issue,... The battery is non-removable. You would be REQUIRED to bring this inside, or run an extension cable, in order to charge it. A top tube mounted REMOVABLE battery would have solved this issue as well.

I believe the custom Xootr Swift frames that are being made, thanks to @jur, can correct this design flaw. I've seen gorgeous disk models and such,... Those would be a perfect option. And they have one special thing above all else,...BLING!!!

PS: NYCEWheels has a BionX modded Xootr Swift for sale as well,...but where they put the battery, and it's SIZE,...it's RIDICULOUS!!!

Expensive, yes. I owned a Swift, so it's definitely NOT fragile. The battery they're using on the BionX modded model is just rediculous though. What the heck are they thinking?!?!?!

Xootr Swift

Yes, Old thread...so? I own a silver Swift, Def not fragile and with small bat-pack, out classes most rigs.

I am so glad I own one (no long built), I can say only this. and I have owned a few, the rig lacks nada.
