The Great Deal / Sale Thread

Your cog is slipping.
In all honesty, try it. If it's unsafe in any way, you'll know because you won't be able to clamp the bars in the stem tight enough.
The makers of bike components - especially inexpensive bike components - often have tolerances that vary slightly. I had a set of cheapo Dimension risers a while back that were listed as having a 25.4 clamp area that measured 25.87 on my digital caliper.

On a side note Scrod, do you think you can hook me up with a set of your Bikeage straps in barter for my set of used MKS Sylvan track pedals & a homemade Christmas card?

Same here. I've heard good things about Iro wheels and I'm figuring that if Iro Wheels are good, the hubs can't be sheeettttt.

^^^ It really isnt about a matter of being able to afford a new stem or not. i am currently running a 26mm stem with 26mm bullhorns and am perfectly satisfied with it. I have never used risers but for the great price another member brought to attention i just may try it out to see what is so great about them. if a 25.4mm bar wouldnt be safe to use on my current 26mm stem and i would have to buy a new stem just to try out this bar then there is no point of having a 'great deal' on the riser bar.

For some reason BikeWorldUSA's Amazon store has way more parts than their site and much better shipping rates:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/browse.html...A2HFCV3FY28WSA
$4 + $0.50 per pound in the continental U.S, which is fantastic if you need to buy a bunch of little things.
Their $5 Fridays and Clearance deals don't apply on Amazon, but the difference in prices is almost always made up by the difference in shipping.

so, I know that this is slightly off topic but it is related, given its concern about money.
So I have a little bit of extra cash this month, thanks to Christmas and I want to dive into getting this built finished. I can get DT 2.0 1.8 2.0 spokes, + 2 kinlin 32h rims for 132 shipped. I still need a front hub. so...Does anyone know of any smoking hot deals for a silver front hub?
Also, Endura Venturi at 80bucks, VS Swrve Es Hoodie at full price? any opinions?

Here's a decent deal on a closeout of Cane Creek S-3 headsets, which normally sell for at least $50 >>> https://www.universalcycles.com/shopp...6&category=724 My Salsa Casseroll came with an S-3 headset, and it's a very smooth unit. I bought a black one for my Kilo WT, which came with a cheap really rough non-sealed headset. Note that you have order over $150 worth of merchandise from Universal Cycles to get free shipping.

Ah. That's a deal killer. Unless it sells for $90, that's pretty good.
