what's the SINGLE BEST thing you ever bought for your bike?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Mine has to be without a doubt the Syntace P6 seatpost. It absorbs bumps so well I feel like I'm on a suspension post. I'm tempted to splurge on a hiflex now.

Conti GP 4000s tires. Mundane huh! Not really so much. The kind of thing I wish I had known about years earlier.

The wheels I had built up. DT Swiss RR465s laced to Ultegra hubs. Bomb-proof, and they absolutely saved me during a major test this past weekend at a dirt/gravel/road race.

I'm thinking my Soul 2.0 wheelset is probably the best single purchase I've made for my bike.

A professional fit.

If I had to choose a component it would have to be a Specialized Romin 155 saddle. I no longer have problems with numbness caused by an uncomfortable saddle.

I'm echoing the Fit. I've got back issues from a previous sport, and made riding fun again.

An phyisical item would be a garmin. Soo much geekyness potential. I looooove numbers.
