Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Well, the duplicate testing regimes are what got him. Why promote what effectively destroyed your career?

Also, from what I know of it, he's not bashing the fact that they test, it's the inconsistencies and obscurities in their methods and monitoring.

Last, from what I remember during the time, he got nabbed by WADA, and it was Floyd pushing to get USADA onboard. He might have believed he'd be exonerated by them because he trusted their chain of possession and handling of his samples. When he was nabbed by them, too, he might have believed that they were just as erroneous as WADA.

The duplicate testing regimes (additional tests by independent labs, paid for by the teams) above and beyond the required testing did not exist until 2008. It didn't destroy his career. If he were innocent, it could have saved his career.

he sees the private testing as being just as flawed as the french testing, which isnt too far out of the question.

Its hard for me to think that Floyd could be lying about this and did actually dope, given his upbringing and values.

I'm pulling for Floyd, I hope he gives Lance a good battle next month at ToC.

Here's some entertaining stuff on "Landowski"

Floyd has shown up on our Sat & Sun group rides pretty regularly for the last couple of months. I was never a big fan, but he's won my support with his personality. He's personable, friendly and has a great sense of humor.

Not the whole kit, but I've seen it and it looks good, didn't pay any attention to the shoes.
