Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Do you guys and gals hang your bikes on the wall when not using them, and if so which mount do you use. Working out minor details at the new house.

I use a mount that has a metal plate (bolted to the wall) and some fold down arms/hooks.

Nothing worse than getting out of the swim and starting your ride with soggy bike shorts.

And of course, this scratches the custom Ti/Gravel itch.

that’s what i have currently, and I prolly will go with again. The screws are stripped bad so I can’t get it out of the wall.

You must be too serious of a serious cyclist to leave yourself just short of the top spot. Kudos!

Depending upon space considerations, I'd either keep the same thing or go with one of those plate and hook deals for hanging from the front wheel. Those would probably be more practical for multiple bikes or if you just have a tall/narrow dead space on the wall.

I use a wooden half H with holes drilled in the legs and a dowel

Such a gracious winner. Of course, the day is young and no better way to wind down the week than a short spin...

I was looking at the rack mount where the two bikes are stacked one on top of the other. Wife doesn’t see the need for more than one bike....

I lean mine against the garage wall. If space is really tight looking into hanging options makes sense. I have seen pics of some really creative options.

But if you have plenty of room, I would not bother.

leaving it on the floor I would be concerned with it falling over. The other day my daughter ran at my bike with a wrench. Thank god she hit the tire.

I would consider that if I didn’t have other options. It will be a while before I am ready to buy one anyways.

Ebay usually has a complete TI breakaway for 1500 to 2000, I suspect I will end up with one of those.

That’s what happened to me last week. It saw you were about to succeed. We can’t have that.
