Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Not germane to your post, but every source told me that Honda batteries were junk and don't buy one as a replacement.
I killed our Acura battery running the stereo for 30 minutes with the car off while I was cleaning it last summer.

That was the start of my woes, too. After that, it would need a boost if I left the door open for even 10-15’, luckily it was usually in my driveway while I was doing something. After it did it two times in parking lots, I replaced it.

I have to stay out of the kitchen on these winter mornings when it gets direct sun or I'll be cleaning and polishing for hours.

Tthe moisture coming from the oceans, as made clear by the blue outlines of much of the land mass, including New Zealand.

My friend was saying yesterday that her brake levers are too far from her hands in the drops. She has Ultegra 6800. Is there an adjustment or does someone make a shim to bring the lever closer to the bar?

Funny about the west coasts of so many areas - so close to the ocean and yet so dry. Almost like there's more to it than simple proximity to the ocean.

Seems like the STIs have adjustable reach. There are YouTube videos.

So much better than the old days, when the reach adjustment was 'Stick your fingers out more!'

I told her yesterday to just get longer fingers. She said she might grow her nails out and snag the lever with the nails. I suggested Lee Press-on Nails.
