New 2016 models, Year of the "Murdered Out"?
I couldn't help but notice this plague across many manufacturers for the new models to come out this next year...There seems to be a trend here. WHAT IS THIS?!?
Focus Cayo 3.0
Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0
Swift Carbon Ultravox Ti
Bianchi Specialissima

As someone who owns an all black "murdered out" bike, I find this trend tedious.

Who knows, but it's a shame.
I can't think of a more boring color scheme than "murdered out." Even all white is better.

Different sport, but back in 1997 I had a 'custom' all-black lacrosse stick assembled for my senior year in high school. I even taped over the logos on the shaft with black tape to finish it off. I think instead of 'murdered out' the trend should be called 'joejacked', unless, horror of horrors, someone else did the all black thing before me. Unpossible!

It bores me. And this is coming from someone with two black bikes, and a green one so dark it looks black. I didn't choose the colors on the black ones; I just happened to find really good deals on the used frames.

This. As is normal, the market is ten years behind what everyone has been doing on their own hoping to cash in on the late-comers. And just for the record, Cannondale was decades ahead of this with their "Black Lightning" bike. And on a personal note, I didn't really like it then either.

Mtn Bikes next year too have a lot of Red on Black, Lime Green on black (which is always available but seems more) and some other aggressive but not all the way murdered colors that i do like. I've also seen a few bright and dark primary blues and red base colors that I'm not into. Depends on the blue and the red. I do like the orange. and there have been some stuff really out there but you never know when a pink or some kind of neon will work.
