One door closes, and a rabbit hole opens

I read that times are tough for B&M bikes shops. December's closing of Plano Cycling and Fitness left (AFAIK) just REI and a couple of triathlete stores as the only LBSs in this city of over a quarter million population.

Then...Bicycle Evolution opened. According to 'BentRider Online, it is "the first full line Velomobile shop in the USA" - right here in Texas.

Now maybe your next door neighbor owns a velomobile, but riding in Texas since 1962 I'd never seen one in the carbon until I visited Bicycle Evolution. Yep, the shop has floor inventory. Yep, they'll set you up with test rides.

Not affiliated in any way, just passing along some news while I'm waiting for it to get back above freezing.
