It's rare that you find one of those with the lasso intact. It's usually missing.

While doing my nightly search for "vintage Campagnolo" on Ebay tonight, I found this seller in Japan who seems completely out to lunch when it comes to value.

Just one example - and a kludged-up one at that:

According to the seller that's a $250 seatpost.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Campagnolo-...MAAOSwk5FdzNAP

No description details in any of the auctions I looked into more deeply. Most of his stuff is in well-used, even abused condition, so I really can't understand the over-inflated prices. At a minimum he doesn't look to have done any homework.

Found this a while back, took a screenshot. I'm a total sucker for backlit selfies.

This is the special one year only 'reverse fork' Verve SE, pretty hard to come by, Trekkies know about it but it tends to fly under the radar...

That front brake will be handy when you're sliding down a hill backwards.

Could be a factory test bike, special shock absorbing and brake features - after all Madison is close to the Trek HQ.

I was stopped on a trail, and a guy stopped to talk for a minute. I told him his fork was backward. He looked and he realized I was right. Then he rode on happily.

$2500

per ad: "Puegeot mid 60's Tour de France model. New never ridden all original Webster, NY"

Poor pictures

May or may not have been ridden but that is some seriously optimistic pricing...

Dang it. I know that's a whip. Why did I type lasso? I hang my head in shame.

Seems reasonable: eBay Bicycle Bell

The holidays are coming. Good thing there's a payment plan option.

Kopp's is the oldest bike shop in the US. But $12,000 is not a reasonable price.

Prices like that make me think the seller somehow gets a kick out of it. There used to be a Huffy Windsprint on there for like $999, or something like that.
It was there for years.

Well, they are accepting offers. Maybe setting a high price is some kind of strategy, but I don't know.
