Here's my wife's '75 GJ mixte, a rather rare bike with Reynolds 531 tubing, special Nervex lugs and Huret Jubilee long cage rear derailleur. I've got a matching GJ that I'm currently building up with Stronglite crank and Huret DuoPar Rear derailleur.

optical illusion or are those fork blades bent back a bit?

If you like high-trail steering then it might be an improvement...

Me too! (As Tina Fey said, "Not hashtag me too, just regular me too.") I worked in a very large Motobecane dealer at the time, but I saw very few of the orange ones in the flesh. Even at wholesale, I could only afford a Grand Record, which I loved (and rode across the continent in '76) but a Team Champ is just a whole 'nother level.

I have all the parts I would need, if anyone has a frame for me, 63 or 64 cm. Down to the French diameter Cinelli stem, 26.6 two-bolt Super Record post, and a TA water bottle with the BIC team logo.

I love how little it takes to get us all to post "Motobecane scans"..... and I love seeing them all. Nice bursts of color at a gray time of year....

Here's mine, with some footwear experiments going on. (27x1.25 vs 700x35)....

Nice observation, Bulgie, and yes, they were bent a bit. I sent the fork to Gugie and he straightened it out so it's ok now. Just an older picture.

Not sure this would be your size. Or price range. But it's available.

Not nearly as nice as those pictured in the ad and above, but it's the right timeframe - a 76 Super Mirage I recently brought back to life:
