Hello,
Just want to say hello my name is dave and I'm from London. I have a Pashley Guvnor which I use for leisurely jaunts to the office on a Monday and grocery shopping most other days. I rode (as we all did in the 1970s) a variety of bikes including a CCM Chopper, a Chezch tank and a Raleigh and Bianchi ten speed, I enjoy riding and hope to meet a few peeps. I do want to get a Bianchi but don't want to pay the earth. its more for curb appeal.

best

I've just bought an Italian Sprint in Celeste off Ebay.It has Suntour gears . I'ts in decent shape but needs a new saddle, tape, cables and the like. The tyres are ok. Im not sure what to do with it. I think I might enhance it with Campy parts but its going to be a work horse and North London is rife with bandits-don't want them swiping the bike. I intend to do a couple of classic rides so any enhancements will have to be correct.
Wha id really like is someone who can give me advice on what to get and how to put it all back together. Forinstance it has Italian threads... if i went to switch to a Campy crankset will it be compatible. i can go the work myself (I have an elderly jag and a boat.. V handy) but just need to get started. Id also like to find out about its origins. It doesn't have a venders sticker (in North America they are put on the bike)
