Hi my name is... C, Amsterdam based and very new so excuse me in advance.
I was born in 98' and living in Amsterdam, the Netherlands made me grow-up with bikes just like any other kid in my street. Difference between them and me? I had a lot of bikes, not because I was a fan or because I had a family relative who was a fan. Just because I wrecked a lot of bikes in my childhood. The oldest bike I can remember was an old Cruiser. After that, I had a lot of different bikes like a few BMX's a few mountain bikes and the normal save city bikes. Before I knew it my own mother had a phrase for me she would repeat every time I was fixing my tire again or I needed a new bike.
: "I gave u a city bike and u wrecked it in the dunes, then I gave u a mountain bike and u wrecked it in the skatepark.' Save to say, I was reckless.
Now fast forward to current day 2k18, I ride a beautiful vintage old Phillips delivery bike that I found at a marketplace. After restoration, I now use it daily to get to my work.
And its perfectly build for me, because it's a heavy bike with enough space to keep all the military equipment of my back and on the bike.
Why did I decide I need to get on this forum?
I'm enthusiastic about my new find, a 1978 Raleigh Rialto who is 90% original and is a real eye-catcher when I'm riding it.
For everyone reading this far on just my introduction post, thank you for reading. And maybe I will see you soon on the Classic&Vintage thread.
Cheers,
CLubb

Welcome! That brought back memories . . . I also was hard on bikes as a kid. I remember twisting an old Schwinn Stingray and then trying to straighten it out afterwards.
