I think we should bump this up to a 400 mile club next month.

7/2 - 19
7/3 - 63
7/5 - 23
===========
105/300 = 35% done
5/31 = month is 16% done

I'm in!

7/1 18.03
7/4 30.97
7/6 9.28 Just commuted to work and back
7/7 25.47 Commute to work + 1 circuit of greenway
7/8 4.65 Morning commute - PM came out to flat tire, called my SAG wagon
7/10 31.28 Ride to greenway, approx 1 1/2 circuits, then back
7/11 9.08 miles - commute - found broken spoke on the way home. dropped bike @ shop, imagine I'll be w/o for a couple days ...
7/15 10.09 commute to work + post office & back
7/17 31.55 Ride to greenway, approx 1 1/2 circuits, then back
7/18 9.36 commute to work & back
7/20 4.55 ride to work - ANOTHER FLAT just before I made it to the office - my bike difficulties are putting me behind the pace; I'm about 16 miles off now *** NOTE *** Ended up getting a new tire; my rear tire was completely worn out
7/21 18.12 ride to work and a stretch of the greenway - about 9 miles behind; if the weather holds out (& no bike problems!) should get caught up tomorrow
7/22 15.86 ride to work and part of greenway - overslept or I would have ridden longer, durnit
7/24 35.3 Ride to greenway and a bit of exploring at the beginning of ride. Part of greenway going to be shutdown through September starting this week, so I'm going to have to find another place to do my long weekend rides for awhile!
7/26 18.49 Good news: picked up new bike yesterday and rode today! Bad news: FRONT wheel needs trued already; I think it was kinda screwed up from the get-go. *sigh* Didn't get back in time to run it by the LBS; plan is to ride old bike tomorrow, leave a little early and drop the new bike off at LBS; hopefully have it for this weekend
7/27 16.08 Rode old bike today; managed to get new bike to LBS and they retrued the wheel while I waited, so should be good to go tomorrow!
7/28 19.65 New bike rode like a dream today, I avg'd about 1mph faster than usual
AND HIT MY GOAL ending the day at 307.8
7/29 9.18 Short on time today; just rode back and forth to work
---
so far: 317
to go: -- reached goal and adding more!

I've got a rotten summer cold.
It's going to be tough to make 300, but I'll try.
Rode to work yesterday, total 8 km/5 miles. What the heck, every little bit helps.

I totally plan on grinding out 300 miles in July at 7-8 miles per trip to/from work

Well, that and I'm committed to riding RAIN (Ride Across INdiana, 160 miles one day.)

July 4th: 32.00
July 5th: 40.72
July 9th: 46.00
July 10th: 56.00
July 13th: 31.00
July 14th: 36.00
July 18th: 42.00
July 19th: 20.00
July 20th: 41.00
July 22nd: 51.00
July 26th: 41.00

Total: 436.72

In the past three months I have rode:

April: 572.00 miles
May: 884.00 miles
June: 631.00 miles

I work shift work until 7:00 pm, so I normally have to wait until my off days and do my riding. When I work the weekends I do not ride so I have to make up for it when I am off! Hopefully will try to get a thousand miles in for a month before the year is over. In May, I rode 4 centuries back to back so you can see why the big jump over the other months I rode.

Shimano Deore components;

FD-591, RD-591, and a 571 Crank (22/32/44). Was going from a 24/32/38 crank. It's actually going to take a lot of adjustment for me, because I could regularly use the 3rd chainring when biking (typically 38/13 or even 38/12), and now I'm having issues sustaining 44/15. So I guess that gives me something to aim for, since I've got 44/14, 44/13, and 44/12 that I never use now... heh.

Also a pair of Acera V-brakes to replace the crappy ancient Alivio Top-pull cantilevers. The braking is amazing now.

Not looking good. I need to get a century in sometime this month to reach the goal. Triple digits is just too hot to ride.

I took yesterday off just to get a break from the heat. It was only 96 degrees at ride time this evening and it actually felt pretty good. You have no idea how weird it feels to hear myself say that, lol. Come on, Winter!!

7/2 - did 16 miles with my wife
7/3 - got 22 more in
7/4 - did another 22 miles with my wife
7/6 - got a lowly 18 miles in

So that is 78 for the month of July.
Another 222 to go

Supposed to get another 20+ today; body permitting.
