2012 supersix and 2013 caad10
Ive read many posts about these two bikes. Im just thinking out loud.
Theres a 2012 supersix 105 in black and white in my size available for 25% off. This brings it to the same price as a 2013 CAAD10 105. If I buy Caad then Ill buy in 6 months (nothing to do with money, thats just the way it is).
ive not ridden either bike. Just looking at austhetics, I prefer the way each tube blends in with the next tube on the supersix. the Caad has a weird shape top tube and the top tube/ seat tube/ seatstays intersection looks kinda funny. Apart from the material used, CAAD has shape/tube sizes more common with supersix evo.
I wonder why the Supersix, even with 25% off, still sits there, does it have my name on it? I also dont care that CAAD comes with RS10 as I will upgrade wheels on either bike anyway.
EDIT: Bought it. Pics at

I like the 10 better than the SS. The 10 rides like the Evo as it shares the same tube shapes. At the end of the day it's not much defferent as they all share the same geometry and ride close enough. Go with the best deal at the time that you can afford.

For the same price I would do the SuperSix. I ride a CAAD9 105 and if SS was available for the same price you can be dang sure I would have went for the carbon.

Go with carbon, it's the new black!
I got a super deal on a '12 SuperSix 3 in October, and I am glad I did.
Whatever you do, post up pics when you get it.

You know my feelings already, hope you can get a good deal and enjoy which ever bike you choose.

The more I think about it, the more I err towards SS. I prefer it's paint and slightly white paint even though the electric green team colors have grown on me over time, in person I dont think it looks as nice. I dont want to say for sure, but I think the SS *may* be in my future.
I went to the LBS today but I didn't have time to take it for a ride. Tomorrow, I'll ride it. Assuming it's still there. I wont talk about wheel upgrades yet.

The SS will probably be more comfortable since it's carbon and can absorb the vibration better. The 10 is a great bike but aluminum and isn't as forgiving. And to me, the 2013 10 colors aren't anything to brag about. I don't really like any of them to be honest.

I have a 2012 CAAD10 105 that I love. But in this particular case, I will also be biased towards the SuperSix. Enjoy!

I'd vote the SS, I gone through the same thing couple months ago but I also got better pricing then just 25% off

Thanks to everyone who responded, much appreciated. And thanks for the PMs too.
@jsigone: I'm getting the bike from a chain store. I'll ask to speak to the manager and see what else I can get off, or what accessories we can work with. I only need lights though. I have Look Keo pedals and shoes from circa 2007 that were once on my Allez, in as new condition. If they dont give me anything else off, then I'll take the bike to my other LBS (a Cannondale dealer, and the place I preferred to have bought my bike but they dont have any 2012s left) and just buy the accessories from them.
@cvall91: lately I've been checking out black and white CAADs and S6s with upgraded wheels so that's what I wanna get next. I was never a fan of the team electric green but it slowly grew on me over time. However up close I still wasn't overly enamored by it. I love the gulf oil pastel blue+orange and the brushed aluminum is great. But to go with the wider rim wheels, I prefer black and white too.

Well, it is harder to keep that saddle and that bar tape clean. (And the crank, too. High-gloss rings make the grime stand out.)

for me its not a matter of how hard it is to keep clean. I just personally prefer black bar tape on this frame. black bar tape means to also have black saddle. (Like old rule of thumb....black belt you wear black shoes.) my praxis black chainrings are not glossy, they are matte so there is no issue with showing dirt. Its all personal preference though. everyone has their own preferences.

BTW, the paint scheme on your frame is whiter. Compare the fork and the head tube. That may be why one comes with white tape and the other comes with black.
