Emily here. I'm new to all this!
Hi Y'all! wow, it looks like this website needs a real serious UI upgrade, lol. jk. Anyway, my name is Emily, I'm 23 years old, and I'm from New York City. I'm actually joining the group because I'm looking to get into cycling, I mean I bike already but some of my friends are much more avid bikers than myself and I thought id read up on the forums and see what others have to say about the bikes I'm looking to get before I dive too deep into it you know? They all ride fixed gear bikes, with no breaks but i don't think I'm anywhere ready for that kind of stuff you know. anywayyyy. thats just a little about me, im sure ill be asking tons of questions here so stand by, lol

Hi Emily. You will learn much on this forum however you will also need to tolerate a high level of, um, smartassiness! There are lots of great people here as well as a few snobs and posers. I started cycling (again) this spring and I really am loving it again. I have learned so much lurking around this place and you will too.

welcome to the fold emily. fixies are a difficult place to start so you definitly have good instincts. lots of good bikes out there.
