Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

On Sunday, the ER docs said that if it happens again try to clear it myself by doing a similar maneuver to what they did.

The Cardio talked about possibly doing an ablation if this starts happening.

I remember learning and doing the valsalva when I was flying in the Navy. I hated doing that.

Valsalva still better than "Digital Rectal Massage" IMO.

I do love me some technical medical jargon.

Heard Dolly Parton's "Hear You Come Again" while driving to NJ this morning. Forgot how much I used to like that song.

I had that Doug, join the club.

Kinda scary when you first recognize something's wrong, such as your heart is beating fast like you just ran up a few flights of stairs but you've been sitting still for the last whenever. Then your brain tugs on your shirt sleeve and says "Hmmmmm, this isn't supposed to be".

I tried a couple of recommended vagal maneuvers that didn't work. By accident while feeding the dog I found one that worked for me, involving crouching down like an offensive lineman for about 20-30 secs.

A couple years ago I had about four incidents, maybe one every couple of weeks. Then they all of a sudden stopped happening on their own. Works for me

Yes, at first, you think why did I just get lightheaded, my chest feel heavy and my heart is racing. Oh well, it will go away shortly. Then it doesn't go away. When I talked to Mrs. Doug28450 and she saw my neck pulsing, she said we're going to the doctor, it's just a choice of where you want to go.
