Made it in to work about 30 minutes ago! I celebrated the new year the way I enjoy most, asleep in bed.

Mrs. rpen and I are visiting New Orleans for the holiday week. Staying with my MIL. Some asshat shot off fireworks outside our bedroom window last night for two hours from about 11:00-1:00. Really big stuff. Arrgh I hate this city, and it is my home town. I wonder if "The Boss" would understand.

Happy New Year, Addicts.
First ride of the year for me will be with my Filipino peeps. They were coming up my way to ride a local hill up here, but it will be too cold up top. So we're meeting in the middle to ride the Santa Susana pass. I've never ridden it, but I've been through on both car and train. I'm not quite sure how we will do the ride on bikes, but it has some good views from a car. We were going to also ride to the Reagan Library but that's off the table now, its a bit of a steep climb at the end and they just want an easy social pace, I think there is a concern about hangovers. Since it will be an easy pace, maybe I will actually take some pics. Oh yeah, my kit finally arrived, this will be my first ride in that, so there will be a zillion "peekchures" (as they say) of that I'm sure.

Happy New Year! I can't imagine folks out there watching or shooting fireworks off. It was 0, but they were out! Maroons. Oh well. Glad we were home for the girls. Indy is teaching Georgia-Mae to sweat fireworks.

Yep, that. Atomic Girl and I were down and out shortly after 11. Fireworks were cancelled due to the polar vortex, and now this morning it's raining. Blah.

Happy New Year all! We were down and out before 11pm, but that's later than I usually stay up.
My New Year's resolution is to post a bit more here. I'm a long-time lurker and hope to give back to the collective banter.
