I keep a little Peugeot folding bike in my office for short errands downtown. The frame pump doesn’t pump air, is missing the piston seal. Any ideas on finding suitable parts to get it going? Thanks

Your best bet might be to fabricate one from an old belt or similar piece of leather. Cut to size, punch hole in center to mount, apply a liberal amount of grease, and you just might be in business! If you do not have suitable old belt lying around one can be procured for a buck or two at your local thrift store.

it "looks" like the seal may be a snap fit which goes over the white nylon barb crimped into the end of the shaft

in such cases the seal is plastic item the outside and inside diameters of which are most critical

at first glance thought your pump might be one of the Poutrait-Morin marques such as AFA or Ventolux but it appears to be from a maker unfamiliar to me

it is described as "elastomere spare washer" and is item Nr. 22PE

am unfamiliar with the OKE brand of frame pumps; you might be able to search online to see if you can source some information regarding them

one source sometimes helpful for small parts from French makers is Mel Pinto Imports

I have found "leather bicycle pump washer" online in N.O.S. You can measure-out your plastic piece and see if you can get one in that diameter.

Sure looks like the inside of a regular ol' Zefal/AFA pump to me. And the pump itself looks like a Solibloc by any other name. Angle of the photo makes it hard to tell, and measurements would've been useful. But I'd guess it's this part: https://www.zefal.com/en/spare-parts...sher-18mm.html

do not think leather pump cup could work with barb type mount

it would not be able to seal tightly enough around the barb

would be likely to come free with a bit of use

these plastic discs/washers are quite rigid and have a stiffening seal ring at their perimeter and edge of inner hole

they have the downside that they can become embrittled and crack

inherited a small AFA pump with this arrangement from me mum
when discovered it was not sealing opened it up to reveal a cracked disc, same model seal shown in Poutrait-Morin catalogue page posted above

tip -

if you should order from Zefal as suggested above it should be easy to get a seal of the correct outside diameter, they go by barrel size rather than seal size

the critical dimension will be the hole size for the barb. it may be that OKE employs a different barb neck diameter for your size of barrel than does Poutrait-Morin. you should ask for this dimension prior to ordering. if hole size in seal too large it will not seal; if hole size too small you run risk of breaking seal when attempting to slip it over barb.

Reminds me ... I have one of those flat plastic translucent compartmentalized boxes full of misc vintage pump parts, seals, cork diaphragms etc. I eventually need to offload. I don't foresee myself rebuilding pumps any time soon. I also have a wild grab bag of about 20, 30, maybe 40 misc pump tubes in various colours.

Anyway, I'm not sure about the OKE pumps, but I know that the Ventolux pumps on similar era Peugeot bikes used a cup-shaped cork diagphgram fixed to the end of the shaft. @juvela is on-point, measure the inner diameter / "ID" to find out what size you need.

I think the first thing you need to do before anything else is separate the steel parts of the pump and give them an oxalic acid bath overnight. Once that's done, soak it in ATF, marvel mystery oil, or similar thin oil so it won't corrode so easily again. Clearly it had water stuck inside.
