Mine was way less expensive, I'm guessing......

But thanks guys. Got the brake cables on last night and rode it in the rain for a bit(since it's been raining here in Cleveland for a week, along with 98% humidity) and I really like it. It's weird though, riding a bike with a freewheel, that isn't one of my Stingrays or Schwinn beach cruisers. Just feels....Different.

Meant as a compliment to T13 and a jab at Speedvagen/Vanilla. T13's "Beater" is just as cool and utilitarian as a $5k boutique bike.

I guess I mean, "beater" as in, more of a work bike. One that I don't care if it gets scratched up at a local bike rack, or on the train, ferry, etc etc. I'd be terrified about leaving my Basso locked up anywhere out of eye sight, for too long.

But thanks for the compliments

Good luck out West, I guess you're leaving, but haven't caught up entirely on my reading here. I can readily hold the Basso for safe keeping, just sayin'.

I like your decision to roll with a black theme. Most people seem to build that frame up with brown stuff, totally different look!

Well, it's quite humble compared to some of the amazing bikes on this thread so far, but...

This is my first singlespeed since I was a child. I still haven't flipped it over to check out how the fixed ride is, but I have probably put on over 70 miles in the past couple of weeks and I'm loving it!

Had a 16-speed Giant stolen a little over a year ago and didn't know how I'd adjust to one gear... and, well, for city riding, at least, it's almost better. I'm am falling in love with the bike picture below. Still some little things to work out, but it feels fantastic to ride... Shoot, took it out for a 20 mile ride this weekend and the only problem was the zip ties holding the horribly degraded handlebar tape together cutting into my hand. So I replaced that today. And it's still sinking in that I'm not sore.

Thanks Y'all. I basically transferred everything over from my Fuji, except the bar tape. Already had the saddle. It could have easily been accented in brown or white. In the end I wanted to avoid staining either my shorts or the saddle itself, which is what happened with my brown and white cockpits.

Awesome looking Rush Franswa! Black does well on our chrome chariots. Love that Turbo, clean. Is it vintage or vintage collection ?

Personally, I like the amt of drop between the saddle and bar. Well proportioned. Are you lucky enough to live near a track ?

Yea, that's the way to tell Bill off ! Ride it !
