Pedal exerciser...?

Does anyone have any thoughts on a legitimately decent pedal exerciser? I have one but it's quite terrible-I'm looking for something I can use, say, on the couch that'll produce a good sweat before long. I've tried using mine at work and at home and have yet to see any useful fitness benefit whatsoever-obviously, I'm budget-conscious, but still would love to find something decent. I love cycling and having something like this would be fantastic!

got one for my elderly parents. dunno if they ever used it. I tried it & thought it was interesting. I should look for it when I visit them again. maybe my brother rehabbing form heart surgery could use it

Do leg lifts on the couch-it'll help balance the muscle strength in your legs as opposed to pedaling.

I've got one for PT use, has a counter for revolutions only. And it folds.

My wife uses it no and again, but she complains of it sliding away from her as she uses it.

Marketed as an under desk exercise item, my daughter has one where she works, had maintenance raise her cubicle desk so she could pedal.
