If one would look at the images - thanks for the decathlon link Winfried
one could see that the tyre size is 40 - 305.

Btw, did you know that it is possible to quote without posting again already posted images which are still totally meaningless regarding this new folder?
Just a few clicks...

Aren't you the clever one

It makes a lot of sense to use the ubiquitous 305 over the very limited 349.

That exclusivity of yours exists largely only in your head. Here it is being sold by a reputable store, one of the best known folding bike sellers in the country with a brick and mortar store in the heart of the country's capital. They don't sell fakes.

Now, why one would want to buy that tire ($36) at that price or why Brompton would have a special deal with Schwalbe to make such a mediocre tire is beyond me. The only Schwalbes worth the coin are the Marathon Supreme, Almotion and Modial. I should know for I own several pairs and have toured on them.
The Marathon Racer in ETRTO349 and in ETRTO305 aren't on the official website of Schwalbe: https://www.schwalbe.com/en/tour-reader/marathon-racer https://www.schwalbe.com/Marathon-Racer-11100289 the closest size is the 40x355 for the Birdy.

Brompton asked Schwalbe to make the wired Marathon Racer in ETRTO349 to replace the former Brompton Green tire which was also a cheap low quality tire.

Then Brompton asked Schwalbe to a make a tan wall folding Marathon Tire for the Brompton Explore special series. There are no more folding Marathon Racer available from Schwalbe (there was an Evolution Line Folding Marathon Racer long time ago which was a lightweight version of the former Marathon Supreme Evolution Line but it was discontinued).

Here you go, folks, the Brompton exclusive Schwalbe Marathon Racer 35-349 sold in the country's largest bike shop which does not sell Brompton at all. In the box, original and with the typically outrageous prices associated with that bike.

The higher price than other Marathon Racer comes from the fact that its a folding tire (while other sizes are wired, folding tires are always more expensive than the same tire wired) and that its a special model made on demand of Brompton.

Not being a reseller of Brompton bikes doesn't mean that they cannot sell other Brompton products like these tires.

Again, look in the official Schwalbe catalog no folding Marathon Racer and no ETERTO349 and ETRTO305 Marathon Racer !

I move for Ron to stop telling us about availability and cost in his country unless he wants to start shipping things to us.

This forum offers the option of putting someone on the "Ignore List".

It’s not correct to expect same prices to be available everywhere. Lot’s of factors involved but most importantly is because users can/will pay more. If resellers would’ve been able to sell these tires at $100 a piece, they would.

For example, monthly subscription for Amazon prime video in Turkey is 7 TRY which is 0,37 USD. Prime video and free shipping. Doesn’t make sense, does it?

Right. No one expects prices to be equal across the globe. But one can expect people to realize that the high prices that they pay in their own, mostly Western localities, are not primarily due to higher quality products but rather due to punitive transportation costs, import tariffs and duties, national taxes, dealer markups and|or much higher price of local labor. In other words one expects people to refrain equating higher price with higher quality, and to elevate their own often wildly overpriced products as some sort of paragon. 😉

I move for you to stop trying to muzzle people. If the info is not relevant to you, the reasonable reaction is not too suppress it, but rather to ignore it and move along. 99% of all content on the forum is not relevant to me. Do you see me trying to suppress it? No. You may wish to consider that the forum does not revolve around you and that the info that you yourself deem irrelevant may not be so for others. Good grief, man.

Congratulations.
Other things contributing to higher taxes and costs: Labor laws, safety/ environmental standards, human rights, democracy.
Amazing how cheap everything can be without those!

Indeed. Those things drive up prices too on top of the other things already mentioned. More the reason to question whether your high prices are a reflection of material product quality or of other externalities and considerations.
