Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? I don't know anything about cars. I have a Subaru Outback because it has room for me to fully extend my legs.

i live in texas and dream of being car free one day....unfortunately, the way it's so sprawled out around here it would be very tough.
i love bikes, but i also love being able to hop in my car and cover 70 miles in an hour.

Used to own a '68 Saab 96 , V4 4 stroke with tranny designed for the 2 stroke 3 cylinder, motor..

Freewheel bearing ... so I could coast down slopes , never taking it out of 4th .. 30 mpg easy ..

Only had to feather the clutch to start in 1st.

My car: CR-Z - Love it

Favorite car: C5 Z06 - Used to own a few sports cars but the need for gas mileage got the best of me

Cars that piss me off: Prius - Don't know why, just really dislike them.

1. 1997 Mazda Miata that needs new brake pads and rotors in the back, and tires up front. (guess what I'll be doing next weekend! :-/ )
2. Favorite? No, though I have always lusted after the Lotus Elise (notice a pattern?)
3. Those driven people with their faces glued to their cellphones.

this was my car when I lived at my parents house

now that I am on my own in the city its this:

favorite car that I've owned - my GS
favorite car that I COULD own - probably the new stingray corvette
favorite car that I couldn't own - zonda pagani
what cars piss me off - the ones people can't drive, actually just the drivers piss me off.

1. I drive a company car, an 07 Camry SE - good for "business" car - fleet manager told me my average fuel consumption for the last 25,000 miles was 29.6 mpg. Amazing, considering the way I drive.
2. I recently acquired a car I have wanted for a long time: Scion Xb first generation (2005). Love it, fun to drive, very roomy and sips fuel very daintily.
3. Don't hate any cars - a$$hole drivers on the other hand....

Sweet truck I got for 250 bucks, had to repair the whole front end/replace ignition and clean out the homeless smell in it(they were sleeping in it). Notice the super smug share the road plates.

I work on cars and the only cars I hate are people who think they have a nice car when it's just a BMW 328i

1. Here's my 1991 318is E30 BMW and some crappy tilt-shift..
I've driven this for over 8 years and it has never broken down on me. bombproof.

2. Not a car, but I'd love to own a vintage BMW motorcycle.
Here's a R69

3. I really hate big vehicles... of any sort.. no exceptions.

'93 Chevy G10 "shorty" cargo van... keeps everything dry, and there's enough room for me to sleep. Saves a good chunk of change on race weekends.
I guess the Mercedes Sprinter van would have to be my favorite car.
Cars that piss me off... hm. Smart Car? At least the US version. Tiny and expensive with less than 40mpg. Give me a break. It would make sense in a cluster**** urban environment, but I see a lot of them around here (sprawling town of ~120,000). Why not improve your gas mileage, comfort, passenger capacity, and storage space with a Prius or equivalent?

what car do you have?
Between my wife and I, there's a '07 subaru wrx sti with a built engine sitting on coilovers & a relatively modified '13 audi s5 with a recently added '14 rs5 grill.
In the back of the garage there's a '97 mazda rx7 that has a blown up engine that I've been working on and off of.

what's your favorite car?
R34; the only thing stopping me from feasible owning and driving one is the man.

which cars piss you off?
Ford Mustangs because of the tendency of their drivers having popped collars and exaggerated adrenaline levels. And the oversized golfcarts called Priuses

agreed, theres nothing smart about them besides a marketing ploy

the gas mileage isnt better than your avg german sedan, it takes ****ing SUPER, and if it gets into an accident with any regular american car over 6 mph all occupants are gonna be pink mist
