Sexy Stem
So, I like my stem but there is always something better. In this case better would be a threadless stem with hidden bolts. The only two I have found so far are:
Thompson Elite:
Orbea Orca:
Are there others out there? Stems where the bolts can't easily be seen and don't stick out

Sorry to be a debbie downer but internal shim type stems are notorious for slipping. Wouldn't be a problem on a roadie but with the amount of ballz 2 stemming we do, this might be a problem.
~To contirbute: you should check out the stems that PRO makes, there are some models where the bolts are recessed to a certain extent as thomsons.

Still kicking.
When thomson released the X2 and X4 stems, there was a good reason they both have a normal back to them.

I run the X4 on the dirt jumper. The X4 is a mtb stem, same thing with that horrid crack brothers stem. I'll take function over aesthetics on a mtb anyday. Road, quill just does it for me.

The CB stems had pretty decent reviews IIRC. Then again, they've got a solid reputation for being hit/miss on most things. Seeing as they've got the same design but for AM MTB, I'd imagine the internal shim mechanism is solid enough for riding fixed.

If Cinelli had an updated re-release on the Alter, I'd most likely buy one (only came in 1")
In the mean time I'm in love with FSA, got the OS-99 to match the stock FSA carbon track on my FTP, my MTB, road and the Fetish Attak im putting toegeter all have the OS 115, which is a fairly simple yet elegant, CNC strong design.
