How about it. dark military dark green (flat) with black components; crankset, rims, hubs, stem, seatpost and a brooks saddle?
i have not seen a bike in this paint scheme. what are your thoughts?

My bike is Olive, and until I bought new wheels, it was solid black component-wise.

That's what I'm aiming for with this, just too broke to finish it off right now. The green turned out lighter than I expected it to, but that's what you get with the rattle can sometimes. I had a different set of bars on it wrapped up in light brown tape for a while that I think looked even better than the black, really set the whole thing off.

Yeah, it kind of looks like my faded bdu's though. thinking about taking it back closer to it's original colors (eventually) flat grey with black lugs and gold at the edges. It's holding up pretty well for an ancient derelict library bike though.

Except for the flat finish, the Masi Speciale green comes to mind. Saddle and bar tape are light brown, black components (silver crankset tho).Real nice and balanced colour combo. You may want to check it out for inspiration.
