2019 Specialized Sirrus Pro Carbon
Hi all
New to the forum, I'm a total newbie, I'm 39 looking to get back on the bike to improve my overall health and fitness
I have the opportunity to purchase a Specialized 2019 Sirrus Pro Carbon with future shock hybrid bike that's hardly been used, virtually new
At the time, it was the range topping model with a price tag of $2,700!. It's been offered to me for sale for $870
Is this a good buy or would you recommend something else at this price point?
I understand today's equivalent to the above mentioned bike would be the Sirrus 6.0, having compared both using 99spokes.com, I can't see much difference between them
Does anyone have any personal experiences of this bike? If so your feedback would be appreciated

It might be a great bike, it might need work or something worse. We cannot see it here so we wouldn't know. At the time the bike was a good bike (though might need a recall replacement for the future shock collar). In the end if the bike fits and maybe the seller is willing to meet up at a local shop so they can give you an estimate on any work needing done or parts needing replacement if any and the bike is not stolen it could be a fine deal. It is all unknowns at this point.

Proof of purchase will be supplied with the sale, it's hardly been ridden, less than 75 miles since new, it's in excellent condition, in full working order, would it still need a service?
What is the future shock recall about, is there a way to check if this particular model is affected by the serial number?
Was looking for experiences from other users, if they have this bike, do they recommend it, any pros and cons? And whether I should consider a different bike with the same price range this one is being sold for...

The recall was over sweat possibly corroding the collar on the futureshock probably not a real issue but a huge precautionary let's get it fixed just in case which is a pain but overall a good thing. I would rather people have an over abundance of caution then get someone hurt.
Like I said in my previous post the bike was a good bike in its day and would be a neat one to ride. I would rather carbon than aluminum personally but would rather titanium or steel over both. I like the concept of a flat bar road bike and I think the carbon sirri filed that niche quite well.
